Getting started
When should we start — sophomore year? Junior year?
Start as early as 9th grade to track activities and test prep. Most families sign up the summer before junior year, when the weight of it all becomes real. The system scales gracefully if you start later — we've onboarded families in August of senior year.
Does Diplomare replace our college counselor?
No. It replaces the spreadsheet, the shared doc, and the sticky notes. Counselors love it — a read-only share link lets them spend their billable hours on strategy instead of data entry. If you don't have a counselor, Diplomare is usually enough.
How long does setup take?
Fifteen minutes per student to build the profile. Ten more minutes to shape a first balanced list. After that, you're managing the college years, not building tools.

What does Premium unlock?
Unlimited students, AI college matching, AI essay feedback, scholarship research, financial aid comparison, file uploads, course advisor, credit planner, and athletic-recruiting tools. $19/month or $149/year — see Pricing.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, from the Billing page inside the app. Premium Annual is refundable within seven days; see our Refund Policy.
Are we eligible for free Premium?
If your family qualifies for a Pell Grant, yes. Email hello@daddiorobotics.net with your SAI letter — we activate comped accounts within one business day.
Family & sharing
Can both parents see the dashboard? Grandparents? A counselor?
Yes. One Premium subscription covers the whole household — both parents, every student, one shared workspace. Counselors, grandparents, or anyone else you want to loop in can get unlimited read-only share links, with granular permissions per student.
What about multiple kids at different stages?
That's exactly what Premium is built for. A senior, a sophomore, an eighth-grader — each on their own track, all rolled up into one parent view. Switch between them in a tap.
AI features
How does the AI matching work?
Our AI features are powered by Anthropic's Claude. When you ask for a college match or essay feedback, the model reasons over your student's profile and publicly available admissions data (admit rates, SAT/GPA bands, financial-aid generosity) and returns a response you can read and question. It's a second opinion, not an oracle.
Is my kid's essay used to train an AI model?
No. The Anthropic API doesn't train on your inputs under our default configuration, and we haven't opted in. Your student's words stay your student's words.
Privacy & data
Is my kid's data safe?
All traffic is TLS-encrypted. Internal access is restricted to the handful of engineers who run the service. We never sell data, and we don't share it with colleges or advertisers. Full details on our Security page.
Do you share or sell data to colleges?
Never. A college can only see what your student formally submits through their own admissions portal. Diplomare is a private workspace for your family.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes — both, from inside the app, any time. Deletion preview shows you exactly what goes away before you commit. See the Privacy Policy for timing details.
